Upset at the Summit

On a night of upsets around the state in South Dakota, the Yankton Bucks got the biggest when they knocked of the number one team state, Harrsiburgh 50-48

Only three players scored for Yankton in the game. Matthew Mors lead the way with 28 points, Senior Jack Wolfgram had 18 and Casey Krejci had 4.

Senior Cameron Krejci fed a cutting Mors for the winning basket with 10 seconds to play.

The Bucks, now 8-4, will host Huron Friday night.

 Other upsets around AA in boys basketball included Sioux Falls Washington beating Brandon Valley 62-58, and Watertown beat Sioux Falls Lincoln 61-52.
John Thayer caught up with Chris Haynes to talk about the big upset, and now four straight wins in a row for the Yankton Bucks.

Yankton Bucks were able to have their most balanced offensive oerformance of the season last night, and beat Sioux Falls O’Gorman on the road 66-57.

After the first quarter it was tied 12-12, but three back to back to back three pointers by Cameron Krejci helped the Bucks pull away in the second quarter.

The Knights were able to fight back into the game, trailing just by seven midway through the third before the Bucks started hitting shots in the third quarter and were leading after three by 14.

Senior Jack Wolfgram scored 19 points for Yankton, and Matthew Mors trailed right behind him with 18 points. Cameron Krejci added 11, all coming in the second quarter. which also got 18 points from freshman Matthew Mors and 11 points from senior Cameron Krejci. Yankton also got nine points off the bench from junior Rex Ryken.

The Bucks continue their road journey on Friday when they play Brookings.
