Another Win in the Summit

The USD Coyote men had 5 different plays score in double digits and found themselves in the win column against Oral Roberts on Wednesday Night when they won 82-70

Matt Mooney lead the way for the Coyotes scoring 19 points and moving to 16-5 over and 4-1 in Summit League play. Tyler Hagedorn finished the night with 14 points, Tyler Peterson had 13, Nick Fuller with 11, and Tristan Simpson also had 11 points.

Oral Roberts falls to 7-14 on the year and 3-3 in league action.

South Dakota travels to Omaha on Saturday for a 7 p.m. tip-off inside Baxter Arena.

Up Three Spots to No. 11

The South Dakota men’s basketball moved up three spots in the latest Mid-Major Top-25 announced Monday. The Coyotes are No. 11 in this week’s poll. Other Summit League teams include South Dakota State who are in No. 6 this week.

South Dakota, 15-5 overall and 3-1 in Summit League play, topped Fort Wayne 68-58 in its only game last week with four different Coyotes scoring in double-digits.

Gonzaga remains No. 1 in the poll receiving 27 of 31 first place votes with 771 points and a 16-3 record.
