Music At The Meridian
August 18 @ 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Grab your lawn chairs or blankets and head on down to The Lawn at the Meridian Bridge Plaza on Thursday nights!
The local opener, Sierra Gvedashvili, begins entertaining at 5:00pm.
Starting at 6:30pm, Jason Mayer takes the Music at the Meridian stage.
Born and raised in small town Nebraska, Jason Mayer approaches music like any true Midwesterner would; with hard work, a blue-collar attitude, and a desire to tell stories. Mayer has been playing live for nearly 15 years, as a solo musician and with several bands over the years. Most recently he fronted the country-rock band Wasted Highway, and has since decided to focus on a solo career. He mixes country, rock, folk, and bluegrass, with a unique voice and style to make his sound unmistakable. You can catch him playing on big stages to small bars, no venue is too big or too small, as the love of music and the love of interacting with an audience is what drives him. This desire has led him to travel all over the country to perform his songs and meet new people!
Mayer was nominated, with his previous band Wasted Highway, for Outstanding Country Artist of the Year by the Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards 2 years in a row! Mayer has released 4 original albums with various bands over his career and has had 24 different songs that he wrote or co-wrote receive radio airplay. His highly anticipated debut single “Old Man” was released on July 14 and is available everywhere music is sold. It is already garnering high praise and consistent radio airplay. Singles “Here For a Good Time” “Beer Makes it Better” and “Songbird” were also released in fall of 2021. Mayer’s latest single “Too Damn Drunk” was released, with an accompanying music video, on June 15, 2022.
Jason’s live shows are high energy, sing-along, dancing fun!
Backspace Brewing Co. will be there with cold adult beverages and come enjoy your evening meal by stopping at the local food trucks on site!
