Main Street Center Memorial Day Flag Walk
May 9 - May 23
This Memorial Day honor those special men and women through the Main Street Center’s 7th Annual Walk of Memories. On Memorial Day weekend the Center’s sidewalk will be lined with American Flags that HONOR OR REMEMBER the name of “a special” person, family, group or organization.
A donation from you will secure a flag with the name of the individual or group you have chosen to be HONORED OR REMEMBERED. To participate in the Annual Flag Walk you must submit your form to the Center by Wednesday, May 23rd no later than 4:00 pm. On Friday, May 25 – Monday, May 28 the public will be able to view the flags on the north sidewalks of the Main Street Center at 320 W Main St. (weather permitting).
All proceeds for this project will be used to benefit the Main Street Center which provides daily activities, social participation, health, wellness and education programs on senior issues, plus houses the senior meal program. Please know that with your gift, no matter the amount – you will be honoring or remembering someone special or important to you. Donors and those honored or remembered will be listed on the Center bulletin board and in the monthly newsletter.
Each Memorial Day Americans wish to honor or remember special individuals or groups. Why not make giving a gift to the Senior Citizen Services of Vermillion, known as the Main Street Center a part of your tradition. The Center is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization.
Attached is the form for the Memorial Day Flag Walk and photos of flags lining the sidewalk.
