Intro to Meditation Workshop

Join guest instructor Jeff Nelson for an exploration of various meditation practices in this two hour session. We will begin with pranayama (breathing exercises) and warm up with some mindful asana (poses). Several practices will flow together leading to a 108 count sanskrit mantra. There will be a period at the end of the session for discussion and questions. A time for internal exploration, collective energy and warmth.

Jeff Nelson is a certified yoga instructor inShambhava Hatha Yoga.
He found his way to the mat a few years ago during a search for healing and serenity on a path of recovery from addiction. He feels deep gratitude to the talented instructors who accepted him right where he was, and yet always made a deeper experience tangible and approachable. Inspiration and a gentle nudge sent him to complete 200 hours of training in Shambhava Hatha Yoga at the Shoshoni Ashram near Rollinsville, Colorado where he continues to pursue the study of yoga and meditation. Jeff’s teaching style developed through this training and an undeniable imprint of some very influential instructors. This training, practice and influence is at the heart of his yoga and meditation practice.
