Building a Worm Bed

July 30, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Children and worms. Doesn’t that sound like the perfect combination?  Sharon Brandt and up to ten kids, from ages ten to eleven, are  “Building a Worm Bed” Saturday, July 30th,  at Market at the Meridian.  Because most kids aren’t ready to come to the Market until mid-morning, the time is set for 10:30. Sharon will provide the bins and worms, but the young people are in charge of bringing the materials for the worms to eat: coffee grounds, egg shells, used tea bags, shredded paper, peanut shells, vegetable and fruit peels, dried leaves. Contact Sharon at (605) 660-5119 by Thursday, July 28th, so she can provide the right number of bins. For the adults who live with these kids and their worms, there is no smell associated with the bins as long as they are maintained.

Market at the Meridian is located in the city parking lot in the northeast corner of Second and Douglas from 9 – noon on Saturday.
